I get this question somewhat regularly. Particularly when people realize I have a suspicious amount of free time. Truthfully? I am a huge proponent of the classic quote “If you love what you do, you’ll never work a day in your life” manic pixie dream girl trope. In addition to that, I recognize that I have a tremendous amount of privilege in having a partner to share expenses with.

Do I work? Absolutely. I also have worked to basically reduce my living costs through trade.
