Smitten with my Sneaker Collection
I'm rapidly becoming a inner teen healing sneaker gay and I'm ok with that...
I never thought I would say this, but I am a sneaker girly.
Growing up I was always more of a ballet flat, boot, and heel babe. Part of this was likely due to seeing these particular styles as being obscenely feminine. As I grow within my own gender expression I find myself leaning for items that are more tomboy femme; an homage to my inner teenage self. Below are several sneakers that I’ve been reaching for that will surely make your cosmic closet content.
Palladium Sneakers
I was adamantly against chunky shoes until I got my Palladiums. Despite being chunky, they’re lightweight and very comfortable. They’d make for one hell of a festival shoe; in fact I wore mine when I worked San Francisco Pride this past weekend. Plus at 5’4, so having a height bump is always a vibe.
White Converse leather sneakers
I would say my all white leather converse are a signature piece for me. I’ve worn my pair with bikinis, with dresses, in sweats, and even to the gym a few times…with proper care you can have yours for many many years to come.
Adidas Sambae
Baby’s first Samba(es)! I knew I wanted to purchase a pair of Adidas, however I wanted something that was a bit different from their classics the Samba and the Gazelles. When I saw this pair of lucid pink sambaes on Attorney Martinez’s IG; I knew they needed to be mine. The perfect blend of femme sporty spice.
Converse Chunky sneakers
I saved the most…interesting for last. While I know they are somewhat controversial for just being butt ugly; however they look absolutely precious when paired with a pair of big jeans and a fitted baby tee or bodysuit. It’s giving futuristic, y2k, reimagined High School classic.
That’s all for now, cherubs…as many of you already know the corolation between fashion and previous fascits of yourself is insanely powerful. This is actually subconcious spellwork which has a 98% success rate. Essentially it is all about embodying past versions of yourself to heal the you of the future.
